Speaking of Generator stories, the one here @ CAC labs had it's exercise
timer go bad, but to replace it they had to replace that and the
transfer control board (i am guessing back then the components were
integrated). They replaced it with a digital board, which, with the next
power outage, we found out that the board would kick the generator on
but not throw the transfer switch. It would work fine in test mode,
just not in a real life power loss. Sooo, they check the part and of
course, it won't work in our antiquated system. So last I heard they
are ordering a new one that will work (hopefully?). TBD.
