[cfgeeks] Permission to laugh 'at will'...

A lot of TV's, even HD ones, do a slight overscan that makes then
unusable as CPU monitors, FWIW.
Service plans are IMHO overpriced, you are better off in the long run
taking the cash you would put in to a plan and start a savings
account every time there is the opportunity to buy a service plan,
IMHO, unless the plans pricing comes way down. Right now it typically
hovers around 15-30% of purchase price for 3 years, when it really
needs to be 7% or less. Otherwise, the store is basically telling
you they sell crap and need to sell this for their customers to be
"protected", it's a double edged sword that no sales person has been
able to convince me of differently since i've though about it,
especially on electronics which depreciate greatly over time. You
start to talk savings account and the value of money over time and
depreciation and the eyes glaze and they give up rather soon.
Sorry but IMHO "monster" cables and such are also overpriced. They
may be great quality but $150 for 4 feet of any cable = no. If asked
why ask the stores what they used for all their displays, guaranteed
they didn't use 50-100K of monster cable to wire the joint and to
display this "high quality TV" :-O!
I'd agree with two HDMI inputs, one for the DVR and one for the audio/
video receiver.
a 480P/1080I rear projection HD system seems to do fine for me.
