The last two times I've had serious network issues with Brighthouse, the
causes turned out to be:

1) Bad splitter in my office.  It was fine for years, it went bad.
Replaced with a coupler, all is well.
2) Neighbor nicked my cable installing a sprinkler system.  The cable
from the green stump to your house is buried inches down by cutting a
crude path with a shovel and stuffing it under the turf.

Any outages that were Brighthouse's fault they found in a hurry and
fixed as rapidly.  This stuff took longer.
