The City of DeLand has opened two citizen information telephone lines
for local residents:

*School closings*

Volusia County Schools

Due to a power outage, Deltona Lakes Elementary is closed today,
February 2. Parents should pick up their students in the playground
area. Students are safe and are being supervised by teachers and
administrators until parents can arrive. A Connect ED message was
sent to Deltona Lakes Elementary parents to notify them of the
closing.

 DeLand Middle
 Southwestern Middle
 Starke Elementary

Daytona Beach Community College (DBCC): The DBCC DeLand campus is
closed today due to power outages and wind damage. All other DBCC
campuses are open.

*Road closures*

 U.S. 1 is closed southbound only from Nova Road to South Street in
the Industrial Park area. 
 Interstate 4 is open. 
 US-1, Southbound from Nova Road to Industrial Park Avenue
 Northbound US-1 is now open
 Local roads within the Islesboro subdivision are closed
 Woodland Boulevard southbound between New Hampshire Avenue and S.R.
15A will be closed at least until noon.

Shelters

 Babe James Center, 201 N. Myrtle Ave., New Smyrna Beach. 
 Chisholm Community Center, 520 S. Clara Ave., DeLand.

Volusia County Health Department
The Volusia County Health Department's Deland Clinic is closed
because of severe storm damage. The clinic is located at 1330 S.
Woodland Boulevard. Employees are not to report.
Votran routes/schedule delayed 
Some Votran routes have been altered due to the road closures caused
by the heavy storm damage. Schedules may be delayed. Some bus stops
may not be served.
