Sr. Windows/UNIX Systems Administrator for a 4-6 month Contract to
potential Contract to Hire opportunity with our well known Central

This individual would be expected to provide a full range of hardware,
software and network support for Our Client.  Operating system support
required for Windows, HPUX, Solaris, & Linux.

Window Server Administration is the critical skill and experience
required for this position.  Junior level experience in the UNIX
environment is also required, since the Windows & Unix environments are
integrated.

 

Minimum Qualifications (physical, Experience, Education, etc.):

 

*      10 years of system administration and O&M experience with the
Windows Server environment.

*      Hands on Windows Server experience such as; (ie. Building
Servers, DNS, AD, DHCP, Insight Manager, High Availability, Clustering,
Samba, etc.).

 

*      Experience with servers such as: Dell PE4400, HP DL140, DL320's,
DL380's, DL385, DL585's, V20z, etc.

 

*      Experience with PC Server and workstation COTS installations
(i.e. MYSQL, Visual Studio, MS Office products, etc.)

 

*      5 years system administration and O&M experience with the Unix
environment (HPUX & Solaris).

 

*      Hands-on experience with the HPUX/Solaris  root-level operations
(i.e. Building servers, storage, networking, backups, user
administration, LVM, NIS, Disk Mirroring, and shell scripts, etc.).

 

*      Experience with UNIX servers such as;  HP K400, RP74xx, A, B, C,
D Class servers, Sun V880, E3000, etc.

 

*      Manage Unix backups and user account administration. 

 

*      Experience with communications equipment (Cisco, Procurve), TC/IP
networking (Fiber channel, Gige, 10/100/1000BaseT, T1, etc.).  Firewall
and VPN experience desired.

 

Desirable Qualification (Experience, Education):

 

*      Experience with COTS tools such as; Oracle, Samba, Apache, Data
Protector, etc.

 

*      Storage Area Network experience with StorageTek, Brocade,
SANTricity, etc.

 

*      Experience with configuration management, code management tools
(i.e., ClearCase) and software development tools (i.e. Purify, Quantify,
JBOSS, PC Dev Tools, etc.)

 

*      Experience in Facility layout & design, hardware installation &
configuration, preventative maintenance and fault isolation.

 

*      Effective written and oral communications skills
