The Athlon line is running a little behind intel right now. AMD is 
planning on releasing their true quad core chips the middle of this 
year. And then you will be able to have an eight core system by using 
two of the quad core chips on the platform described in this article. I 
still like AMD for a gaming system. But yes the chips from Intel are 
better overall right now.
