Peter and Chris;
I bought just two of the GE compact 8,000 hour fluorescents that
replace a standard 100 Watt incandescent and while doing so I listened
to 80 and 10 meters for any noise. I heard zip! I then bought 10 more
for the whole house since a 100 Watt fluorescent draws just 23 watts of
power and again I hear no increase in noise.
It's my opinion that everyone should be using these lights. They are
expensive but lasting 8,000 hours they work out cheaper than
incandescent lamps. And if anyone has found a RF noisy one I would like
to know about it.
