That would in fact be a job here; the Tier One monitoring guys.  They
call themselves the "Data Center" team, but everybody else knows them
as Operations.  That's where I started many years ago here.

Warning; it will be shift work.  They still stick your butt on Thirds
so fast it'll make your head spin, and when you pick your two
consecutive days off you probably won't find "Saturday and Sunday" on
the menu.  But, the pay is decent, the benefits are good, and there
are upward mobility options.  A lot of former Operations guys are SAs,
programmers, project management, or DBAs now.
