This is sad news for PC Gaming:

The PC gaming market has always been the place where cutting edge 
techniques (super high resolutions, large textures, special rendering 
effects) were available and the consoles have been for the masses. But 
now with ID going for the dollars available at the masses it looks like 
the PC gaming market will get less emphasis.
