They "claim" they are being hit all the time with bots trying to boost
up ad sense revenue. There has been much talk of ad sense folks getting
gyped, not paid or dropped entirely from the program over the last year.
This is why they want automated searches to use their API's (which
hardly anyone does). There are even bots that mimic casual browsing with
pauses, rabbit trail searches, take a random hit and click on it, etc..
to throw google off the trail. This is the logical next step for those
not signed in with a google account.
