Yeah i'm dragging out the old soapbox for a moment, bear with me...

Apple TV is going to be much more than meets the eye...

Lets see it can:

1) Play iTunes movies and TV shows.
2) Act as a portable storage device.
3) Play games
4) Play iTunes music (it has a TOSLINK)
5) View media in iMovie and iPhoto (all yer home photos/movies)
6) ...

The ... will probably be buy directly from Apple TV remote, sync with 
other wifi media devices, direct link to youtube.  Oh... GoogleTV 
anyone? Can pretty much circumvent the "old school distribution" models 
of the cable, movie, tv and music industries.

and....

with a bluetooth (not this gen model, but soon IMHO) keyboard/mouse, 
google apps, and a .mac account... many people will not need a PC 
anymore.  Kapish?

Apple products are like a sponge, it takes awhile to sink in.
