Email from me to two people:

"We're doing Release 35 implementation this week, and that includes
the Connect:Direct 3.8 upgrade and associated config changes for
performance.  Are either of you coordinating with the mainframe for
their half of the config changes?"

One person replied that it was the other person's deal, the other
person replied, copied about a bajillion managers, paraphrasing:

"Woah woah woah, we aren't doing an upgrade of that!  Our VP told us
not to upgrade that yet! We need to all be on the same page here!"

My reply:

"The only person driving this being done in Release 35 is you; you
wrote the CR.  If we're not supposed to be doing this, the time to
inform us was, oh, a couple of weeks ago when we were doing prep work
to make this happen; yesterday, at the latest.  Are you saying we
shouldn't proceed?  They're literally just about to start."

Sending frantic IMs "hold on, don't start yet".

Her reply:

"Oh, Release thirty-FIVE.  Never mind."
