Which reminds of one of the many reasons my father (who is a doctor) told 
me about the spiraling costs of healthcare in this country.  When some 
symptom is observed that 99% of the time is nothing to worry about, 
everyone still feels the need to CYA just in case.  So because of 
that 1%, enough tests get ordered to drive cost through the roof, even if 
the more sensible solution would be: "Come back and see me in 6 months, 
and we'll take another look."  Why?  Well, if there's even the slightest 
chance that a doctor could have done something more, they're exposing 
themselves to liability in a suit if something bad does happen.
