Without qualifying your selection that's a useless comparison.  It's  
like saying that your Toyota cost $20,000 while my Ford only cost  
$10,000, so why would I buy Toyota?

You can get a Mac for $600, less if you go with a refurbished item  
(refurbished items from apple.com still have a 1 year warranty).
